THE PURE LIFE
Born in Brazil since a very young Dr. Lara Zinn felt more comfortable among animals and at the age of 17 years old she started veterinarian school. She graduated in Santa Maria Federal University in 1997, one of the most respectable universities of Brazil, where she also completed her residence in small animal surgery with a focus on orthopaedic and reconstructive surgery in cancer patients.
Her first contact with veterinary acupuncture happened in 1999 at UNESP hospital, Sao Paulo, while working in the surgery department. The results of acupuncture inspired her to pursue a different approach to animal healing. The next coming years she worked in Brazil and in Germany as an holistic and naturopath veterinarian with a special emphasis in diet, nutrition and its influence in animal behaviour since she strongly believes you are what you eat.
In 2009 she completed her acupuncture course at the Chi Institute in Madrid and is currently in the MS program at the Chi Institute in Florida. She is also a former student of the Qi Academy in Germany.
In 2012 she relocated permanently to Costa Rica and since 2019 offers her services in the city of Atenas.
Her tools of healing are acupuncture, food therapy and nutrition placing great emphasis on nutraceuticals, herbal medicine, orthopedic and osteopathic adjustments, reiki and aromatherapy.
She spends her free time under the sun walking and exploring trails with her family of 6 rescued dogs. Passionate about traveling she is fluent in 4 languages and is a devoted yoga practitioner.
